Information for next class - June 25th

Your homework for next class is as follows.

For each opinion on page 81, tell me if you AGREE or DISAGREE with the opinion given. Also, write down one or two reasons WHY you agree or disagree.

Make sure you use the language presented on page 81 in your answer.

Each answer you give should be about 3-4 sentences.

 

1. There`s too much traffic on the roads nowadays

2.  Children should start learning a foreign language from the age of five

3. Nobody should work more than 35 hours a week

4. Movie starts and football players are paid too much money

Unit 3 Homework

In today's class we talked about and practiced finding the CONTENT words when reading questions and answer choices. We also talked about making PREDICTIONS based on those content words.  Also, we talked about practicing doing the above tasks quicker and quicker as we practiced more. That is, we talked about reducing your time in finding CONTENT words and making PREDICTIONS.  Remember that the TOEIC test is a timed test, so being able to find content words and make predictions faster and faster is an important skill to practice. It will save you time on the test AND in general it will improve your understanding of English.   For this Unit, your homework is as follows.  1. We completed number 1 and number 2 on page 25.
