 For next class, please complete the rest of the exercises in Unit 11

 

1. Page 91, Exercise 1

- Match questions 1-5 with the correct part of the talk a-e

 

2. Page 91, Exercise 2

- Listen to Track 4 and answer the three questions - Pay attention to the three questions. Which part of the message would contain the answer? Introduction, Purpose or Request?? Write that down as well.

 

3. Page 92, Exercise 1

- listen to Track 6 and fill in the blanks in the message.

Unit 3 Homework

In today's class we talked about and practiced finding the CONTENT words when reading questions and answer choices. We also talked about making PREDICTIONS based on those content words.  Also, we talked about practicing doing the above tasks quicker and quicker as we practiced more. That is, we talked about reducing your time in finding CONTENT words and making PREDICTIONS.  Remember that the TOEIC test is a timed test, so being able to find content words and make predictions faster and faster is an important skill to practice. It will save you time on the test AND in general it will improve your understanding of English.   For this Unit, your homework is as follows.  1. We completed number 1 and number 2 on page 25.
